Liothyronine sodium (T3) is the commercial name for a thyroid drug produced by the Bulgarian manufacturer of sports pharmacology Cygnus. Liothyronine (triiodothyronine) is actively used as a means for losing weight, because its use is very effective in reducing the amount of fat accumulation.

Concerns about the suppression of the activity of the thyroid gland, which produces thyroxine, are not confirmed by the results of the studies. It was found that with a three-week use of large doses of the drug, the decrease in endogenous secretion of the hormone barely reached 20%. What is the effect of T3
